Augusta Precious Metals vs. Noble Gold (2026): Which Gold IRA Fits You?
Augusta Precious Metals vs Noble Gold, in short: both publish their fees, which not every gold IRA company does, so the choice comes down to account size. Augusta starts at $50,000 but says it pays the yearly account fees for up to 10 years, which is worth about $2,350 over a decade on its own schedule. Here is the full comparison, from each company's own pages.

Augusta vs Noble Gold fees: the 10-year math
This is the rare comparison where both companies put their numbers in public, so we can do the math properly. The yearly totals are close: $235 at Augusta and $285 at Noble Gold. The difference is what happens over time.
| 10 years of account fees | Total | How we got it |
|---|---|---|
| Augusta, full 10 years of fees paid | $50 | $50 setup only |
| Augusta, no fee offer | $2,400 | $50 + $235 x 10 |
| Noble Gold | $2,930 | $50 setup + $30 wire + $285 x 10 |
| Noble Gold, if you later close the account | $3,180 | Adds the $250 closure fee |
What the numbers say: on fees alone, Augusta with its full offer comes out about $2,880 ahead of Noble Gold over 10 years ($2,930 minus $50). Even without the offer, Augusta's schedule is about $530 cheaper over the same period. Augusta says its paid years are "up to" 10, so confirm the number for your account in writing.
Two Noble Gold fees worth knowing before you start: a $75 fee to take metals out in kind, and a $250 fee to close the account. Both are published up front, and they matter if you expect to take coins home or move the account later.
The bigger cost at both: the spread on the metal, which neither company publishes as a single figure. On $50,000, every 1% of spread is $500. Ask both for the price per coin and the spot price on the same quote.

Metals, storage and custodians
Metals. Noble Gold sells gold, silver, platinum and palladium, and says platinum bars can go into a precious metals IRA. Augusta sells gold and silver only. If you want a small slice of platinum or palladium, that settles it in Noble Gold's favor.
Storage. Noble Gold says it partnered with International Depository Services in Dallas so clients can store IRA metals in Texas as well as in Delaware. Augusta uses approved depositories and gives Delaware Depository as an example, with metals held fully allocated. Texas storage is mostly a matter of preference; either way, ask how the metals are insured.
Custodian. Augusta works with Equity Trust Company. Noble Gold says it connects you with a precious metals IRA custodian once your account is active; ask which one before you sign.

Noble Gold describes its buyback program as a way to liquidate your holdings when it is time to cash out, but does not set out the terms on its site. Ask how the price is set and how long payment takes. Retirement Living lists an A+ BBB rating for Noble Gold.
